COLOR RUN

Literally the happiest 5k on the planet - The Color Run was a BLAST! First and foremost, loved getting to hang out with my dear friend, Abby, all the while getting blasted with pixie dust (no, it did not taste good.) At risk of destroying my camera, we didn't snag too many pictures, but the event was awesome all the same! 15,000 other runners joined us for the occasion in Portland & helped conclude the race with a blinding color celebration (cue thousands of people throwing a cup or two of dyed cornstarch in the air)!

MEET HARPER

Meet Harper. She is precious.

This weekend we made the drive down to Portland for the Color Run and got to stay with the McClures! Noami & Ian (Harper's parents) are Lee's god-parents - potential weirdness when Harper & Lee start dating, but we're just going to roll with it. I am so excited to get to hang out with the McClures & the rest of the Nashville Vandy group next week at the beach in Florida!

Harper found a delicious plum to nom on...

Thank you for hosting us, McClures!!

THE SPACE NEEDLE

Total tourist move... but like I said, I am a tourist! Kevin and I ventured up the iconic Space Needle to see the sights last week! It was crazy foggy in the morning but most(?) of it burned off by the afternoon for some beautiful views of downtown Seattle! Check it out!

MOUNT RAINIER

Part glacier, part active volcano, part awesome. We drove two-and-a-half hours south to visit Mout Rainier yesterday and all I have to say is - wow! The hike was a little intense (cue sore knees and calves today) but the view was totally worth it!

DECEPTION PASS

Deception Pass is the entrance to the Pacific Ocean from Puget Sound - It was named "Deception" Pass because early explorers thought it was the entrance to the Northwest Passage. They were wrong.. but.. Can you get any more beautiful than this? Wow.
Also, we are so happy to have the Ruth's friends, Aki + Kei, visiting from Tokyo!
Washingtonians are so hipster they charge their cell phones with solar panels.
