FLY FISHING

We have had a fantastic day in Big Sky - and it's not over yet! This morning we splashed down the Gallatin River white water rafting - Unbelievable views of the canyon and surrounding mountains! Of course, Kevin and I volunteered to sit in the front where you get the most wet, so we have officially been "baptized" by the Gallatin! We came home for a delicious lunch courtesy of Mama Pollard, and headed out for an introduction to fly fishing! Once again, such beautiful views! Kevin and I caught on alright to casting, but neither of us managed to catch a fish (surprised?). We watched a storm come in over the mountains and got a little wet, but that didn't discourage these new-found fishers! Now we're off to test out the local brewery, Lone Peak, before another delectable meal. Tomorrow we head into Yellowstone for the day - can't wait! Cheers!

MONTANA

After a very long drive yesterday from Denver, we've made it to Big Sky, Montana! Today we are off to white water rafting and fly fishing with the Pollards! So happy to be in this beautiful part of the country!

UVA CLASSES START TODAY!

Wahoo-wah! School is back in session in C-Ville today and I am slightly missing being re-united with classmates and professors, new notebooks and pens, and the festivities of a new school year. I wanted to give another shout-out to some of my favorite Wahoos, and wish all you undergrads a fun and fulfilling semester! 

Elly + Megan lived down the hall from me last year and couldn't have made my days brighter. I will miss walking with Elly to all of our art classes and gushing with Megan over her latest recipe. (Follow her awesome baking blog here!) Thanks for sporting some cute looks during our mini photo shoot :) Love you girls!

I have had the BEYOND honor of working with Sarah Cramer Shields of Cramer Photo for the past four years - She has inspired me beyond measure and I could never thank her enough for all of the encouragement and support she has given me over the years. Sarah was kind enough to take pictures of Kevin and me at some of our favorite spots in C-Ville before we left town and they came out better than I could have imagined! We loved frolicking in the fields at Veritas and sipping on our favorite beers at Blue Mountain Brewery. Cheers to YOU, Sarah, and a million times, thank you!
